The invention discloses a method for producing sclareol by fermenting cigar tobacco flower buds, and belongs to the technical field of tobacco agriculture. The method comprises the following steps: mixing cigar tobacco flower bud powder with deionized water, sterilizing, adding edible yeast, and fermenting at the temperature of 25-35 DEG C and the speed of 100-300 rpm/min for 24-30 hours. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the cigar tobacco flower buds are used as a unique raw material, additional nutritional ingredients are not added, and the cigar tobacco flower buds are fermented only by using the edible yeast as a leavening agent, so that the sclareol can be synthesized in a green and efficient manner; 175 mg/L sclareol can be synthesized after fermentation culture is performed for 24 hours, and the synthesis efficiency of sclareol is extremely high.
