The method includes the following steps of tobacco leaf pretreatment, preparation of a dewaxing agent solution, removal of the tobacco wax coat, back washing of tobacco leaves, fish-out and drainage. The dewaxing agent solution adopted bythe method is prepared from food-grade sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, the structure of the wax coat on the surface of the tobacco leaves can be effectively destroyed, the water loss characteristics of the tobacco leaves are improved, the baking cost is reduced, and meanwhile the baked tobacco leaves are safe, free of toxins, good in quality and harmless to the human body.
