The invention discloses a cigar coating tobacco air-curing method taking moisture management as a center, and belongs to the technical field of tobacco agriculture. The method specifically comprises the steps that the water content of field tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 85% or below before harvesting, the water content of the tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 75%-78% in the withering period after the tobacco leaves enter an air-curing room, the water content of the tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 70%-73% in the withering period, the water content of the tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 60%-63% in the yellowing period, the water content of the tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 30%-33% in the browning period, and the water content of the tobacco leaves is regulated and controlled to be 20% or below in the stem drying period. According to the characteristics that cigar coating leaves of cigars are relatively tender, thin and high in water content, the airing period is divided into five stages of withering, withering, yellowing, browning and stem drying, and the water content and the water loss rate of the cigar coating leaves in each stage are regulated and controlled; the moisture content is taken as a target, and the phenomena that the temperature and the humidity in an air-curing room are both in a suitable range, but the tobacco leaves are not ideal in change and a large amount of rotten tobacco is still generated in an air-curing technology taking temperature and humidity management as a center in the prior art are avoided.
