Fecha de publicación: -- Fuente: WIPO "tomato" A method to treat and control the dissemination of plant and soil borne diseases based on the observation that pathogen-derived plant diseases originate from imbalances in their microbiotas or in the surrounding soil. Modulation of these imbalanced microbiotas may be achieved by the application of adaptogens, directly to the plant, to the soil, or to post-harvest and post-mortem foodstuffs. The adaptogens comprise plant probiotics, prebiotics and duplibiotics, which may be applied individually or combined in any way and number, and be applied at the site of infection or far away from the site of the imbalanced microbiotas (e.g. foliar application to modulate inner wood, root or rhizosphere microbiotas, or to boost nodulation in Leguminosae plant roots).
