Fecha de publicación: -- Fuente: WIPO "tomato" There is described a system for automated defect detection in sealing bands of composite packages, each sealing band being formed from a first band portion, a second band portion and a layer of heat seal material interposed between the first band portion and the second band portion. The system is provided with: a vision system to capture images of the sealing band; and an analysis unit operatively connected to the vision system to analyze one or more images acquired by the vision system to determine the quality of the sealing band as a function of the one or more images. The analysis unit has an artificial intelligence module to analyze the one or more images by a machine-learning model, to detect the presence of defects in the sealing band.
