More particularly, the invention provides a mutant or modified Brassica oilseed plant or part thereof comprising a heritable mutation in a HAESA (HAE) gene and in a HAESA-LIKE2 (HSL2) gene, wherein the mutant or modified plant is deficient in seed abscission in comparison to a corresponding unmutated or unmodified plant.
