An aerosol generating sheet is disclosed. The aerosol generating sheet comprises: a carrier layer; and an aerosol generating composition applied on a surface of the carrier layer. The aerosol generating composition penetrates the carrier layer, the aerosol generating composition comprises tobacco material, and the carrier layer has an air permeability of at least 1000 CU, measured before the aerosol generating composition is applied.
