For example, the systems disclosed herein can include a treatment subsystem that can present a patient with various trials and a stimulation device communicably coupled to the treatment subsystem. The stimulation device can provide stimulation to various regions of the user's brain (e.g., the nucleus accumbens, caudate, entorhinal cortex, and/or the like) based on responses received by the treatment subsystem in response to the trials. The stimulation system can dynamically adapt the trials to help increase learning in the patient's brain to help improve outcomes from the stimulation-based therapy. In some embodiments, the stimulation system is integrated with various artificial intelligence algorithms to create a free-running interface to provide continuous access to treatment to the patient.
