Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTInformation on the volatile composition of Thelesperma filifolium (Hook.) A.Gray essential oil (EO) is limited. Therefore, this study aimed to characterise its volatile constituents for the first time using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. A total of 39 compounds, representing 96.63% of the total EO, were identified. The major components were d-limonene (22.55%), limonene-1, 2-diol (16.90%), and β-myrcene (6.65%). Monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes were the predominant classes in the EO. This work provides the first detailed characterisation of the volatile profile of this species and serves as a basis for future bioactivity investigations.PMID:42101241 | DOI:10.1080/14786419.2026.2666671
