[Solution] This imaging device generates a differential signal of pixel signals output from a solid-state imaging device and having different imaging times, extracts outline information of a moving object on the basis of the differential signal, performs an adjustment so that the differential signal is not generated from a stationary object, extracts direction of motion information of the moving object on the basis of the differential signal of the pixel signals at an imaging time close to the current time, and outputs the outline information, direction, and speed of motion as motion information. Motion vector information can be directly output from the solid-state imaging device.
