SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to the method for phytoprophylaxis of postpartum endometritis in cows. A method for phytoprophylaxis of postpartum endometritis in cows has been proposed, according to which 100 ml of 6% phyto-solution based on a powdered composition of water-ethanol extracts of medicinal plants of thyme creeping (thyme) (Thymus serpyllum L.) and chamomile pharmacy (Matricaria chamomilla), obtained by dissolving in 100 ml, is intrauterine administered to cows within 5 days after calving warm boiled water 3 g of water-ethanol extract of chamomile pharmacy, 3 g of water-ethanol extract of thyme creeping (thyme).
EFFECT: present invention provides an effective method for phytoprophylaxis of postpartum endometritis in cows, reduction of contamination of the genital tract of cows in the postpartum period by bacterial microflora and reduction of the duration of the service period.
