This invention makes it possible to accurately ascertain the state of a circuit breaker through diagnosis using sound. This acoustic diagnosis device extracts, for each circuit breaker event when a circuit breaker is operating normally, first feature values of an acoustic signal that has been collected by a microphone and has had the acoustic signal delay thereof resulting from the relative distance between the circuit breaker and the microphone corrected, and creates a plurality of event models for managing data relating to the first feature values of the corrected acoustic signals for each event. When the circuit breaker is diagnosed, the acoustic diagnosis device extracts second feature values of an acoustic signal that has been collected by the microphone and has had the acoustic signal delay thereof resulting from the relative distance between the circuit breaker and the microphone corrected, calculates the similarity, at each point in time, between the second feature values of the acoustic signal during diagnosis and the first feature values of the plurality of event models, estimates the points in time when the similarities are the highest to be the times when each event has occurred, and diagnoses the circuit breaker on the basis of the plurality of estimated occurrence times.
