The method comprises extracting essential oil from the leaves of Aegle Marmelos. The method further comprises separating the extracted essential oil from the hydrosol and incubating the separated essential oil followed by measuring a zone of clearance of fungal growth, using HiAntibioti Zone scale-C. The method further comprises collecting cells by scraping cells from the zone of 10 clearance around wells of the agar well diffusion assay and streaking the cells on YEPD agar plates. Finally, analysis of the fungistatic activity and the fungicidal activity of the essential oil is performed.
