PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION OF PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES, ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF BIOACTIVE COMPOUND FROM THE STERCULIA URENS

Fuente: WIPO "essential oil or extracts"
A process to evaluate phytochemical constituents by qualitative and quantitative analysis, pharmacological activities of different crude extracts from bark, roots and leaves of Sterculia urens Roxb. The process utilize preparative HPLC isolation and spectroscopic characterization of the bio-active phytochemical constituents, where different solvents such as hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol and water were used to prepare the crude extracts from the bark, roots and leaves using soxhlet extraction apparatus DPPH free radical scavenging assay (anti-oxidant), a-amylase inhibition assay (anti-diabetic), albumin denaturation assay (anti-inflamatory), blood clot lysis method (thrombolytic) and well diffusion method (antibacterial) were performed for the determination of pharmacological activities of the bark, roots and leaves extracts.
