The Final Technical Day of the LIFE + Integral Carbon Project on Circular Economy as a model of sustainable production in agro-industry, which was attended by more than 60 people, was held in Burgos on December 1. In this event the technical progress of the LIFE + Integral project Carbon was shown.

Other projects that develop new strategies of Circular Economics applied to the production of fertilizers from organic waste as well as to the sustainability of agrarian and food activity,were presentated: Project CIEN 3R2020, obtaining a biofertilizer of organic waste, the latest technological developments in anaerobic digestion in Europe and sustainability in the dairy sector.

Subsequently, a roundtable for networking was held with the following LIFE projects:

• LIFE RegaDIOX - Fixation of atmospheric CO2 and reduction of greenhouse emissions by sustainable management of irrigation agriculture, LIFE12 ENV/ES/000426

• OPERATION CO2 - "Operation CO2": Integrated agroforestry practices and nature conservation against climate change, LIFE11 ENV/ES/000535

• LIFE-ANADRY - Dry anaerobic digestion as an alternative management & treatment solution for sewage sludge, LIFE14 ENV/ES/000524

• LIFE REGEN FARMING - Regenerative agricultural practices: demonstration of an alternative sustainable management of agrarian soils, LIFE12 ENV/ES/000232

In the afternoon, the participants made a technical visit to the photobioreactor demonstration plant, a prototype developed in the LIFE + Integral Carbon project, which allows the production of microalgae biomass based on residues from the Burgos dairy industry Cheese from Sasamón.
