The invention discloses a tomato seedling growth technique and belongs to the technical field of vegetable propagation. The tomato seedling growth technique manages a bud differentiation stage for development of tomato seedlings by: controlling daytime temperature and nighttime temperature to 20-25 DEG C and 15-17 DEG C, maintaining, humidity of substrate around, namely, total water content in substrate to 60-80%, controlling light intensity of the inside of a seedling shed to 3000-5000 LX, controlling lighting time to 7-16 hours and nutrient concentrations in the substrate respectively to 100-500 mg/kg for N, 120-200 mg/kg for P and 200-220 mg/kg for K, and controlling CO2 concentration in air to 500-1000 mu L/L. The tomato seedling growth technique has the advantages that by controllingthe nutrients and lighting conditions of the bud differentiation stage, it is possible to evidently increase the survival rate of tomato seedlings and the yield of mature tomato, and to reduce the chances for tomato flowers and fruits to deform.
