The invention discloses a method for removing plant viruses in tomato plants by gossypol acetate. Compared with methods for controlling bemisia tabaci amount by adoption of disease and insect resistant varieties and chemical or physical means, methods for inhibiting viruses by adoption of virus antagonists, and the like in traditional tomato yellow leaf curl virus prevention and control in production, the method for removing the plant viruses in the tomato plants by gossypol acetate has advantages that treatment of the viral diseases can be realized, unique action mode and high safety are achieved, and the method has a great application prospect.
