The invention relates to the technical field of image processing, in particular to a tomato phenotype parameter measuring method and system based on machine vision, and the method comprises the steps: collecting an image of a defective tomato and an image after edge detection, and obtaining a pixel sequence of each edge in the image after edge detection; obtaining a plurality of data segments in each segment of optimal pixel sequence; the uniformity degree of each data segment in each preferred pixel sequence is obtained, and the data segments with uniform data in each preferred pixel sequence are obtained; the probability that each optimized pixel sequence belongs to the annular crack contour is obtained, and further optimized pixel sequences are obtained; obtaining the minimum cumulative distance of the corresponding matrix; obtaining the similarity between each pixel sequence after further optimization and other pixel sequences after further optimization; and obtaining a connected domain of the annular crack region. According to the invention, through image processing and data analysis, accurate detection and measurement of tomato annular cracks are ensured.
