The application is characterized in that the molecular markers for identification of NtHMA2 wild type and mutant of the tobacco cadmium transporter gene are applied to improvement of the low cadmium characteristic of tobacco backcrossingprocess with mutant hma2-2h23. The molecular markers provided by the invention have the advantages of simplicity and high speed. The molecular markers can be applied to backcrossing process of low cadmium improvement of tobacco bred by using the mutant hma-2h23.
