A compendium of news from in and around the company for partners and other stakeholders.A FEW WORDS FROM OUR NEW CEO

To the Maven Team, Partners, Investors and Friends:Over the past four years, Maven has grown from an idea envisioned by a visionary entrepreneur, to a vibrant, multi-dimensional company with a talented array of engineers, journalists, editors, business leaders, marketers and sellers -- and devotees to one mission: building a coalition of journalists, publishers and distinct voices and delivering it to the world. As a company evolves, so too does the opportunity and importance to deliver. I’m grateful to be given the chance to lead this company and partner with all of you to build on the value proposition that this company was launched around – creating a platform that unites technology, distribution and monetization into a powerful, scalable opportunity for storytellers, journalists and passionate advocates. The tenacity, drive and passion for this company came from James Heckman, Maven’s founder. His vision has led us to this juncture and I’m happy that we will continue to benefit from his vision. Building a company from scratch is one of the hardest tasks imaginable, and translating an idea into a burgeoning enterprise is a testament to his success.Going forward, I want you to know I am committed to a diverse corporate culture reflective of our society, built around teamwork, ideas and the never-ending quest for excellence; I believe in open and honest communication with staff, partners and business associates; and we will continue to aggressively approach challenges and opportunities head on.This is a transformative time in our industry. COVID-19 has sped the ongoing consolidation that began years ago. While we are not immune to its impact, we have been proactive in managing costs and ensuring that we are positioned for the future -- a key step in our evolution from start up to a powerful platform and destination for consumers worldwide. As I said on the all-company call last week, we have much work ahead. The executive team is hard at it defining our path forward and reimagining the future. We’re uniquely positioned for long-term success and with clear goals, strong communication and hard work, we will emerge from this unique time, well situated and positioned.I look forward to working with you all as we build toward our bright future.Ross Levinsohn, CEOSI’S FOOTPRINT GROWS
