In performing an exercise suitable for a thigh muscle and gluteus maximus exercise such as a leg press, a total hip, a stationary indoor bicycle, or an outdoor bicycle and in order to minimize the load or stress on the knee and ankle joints, an exercise device is provided to strengthen the thigh and gluteus maximus while protecting the knee and ankle joint by moving the leg with the lower end of the arm on the thigh in a sitting or lying position. To this end, the exercise device of the embodiment of the present invention has comprises a seating part that can be seated or pressed, an arm rotatably attached to the hip joint position of a user in the sagittal plane, and a structure that one end of the arm is rotatably hung on the user prime;s thigh. The exercise device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes various resistors that generate resistance against the rotation of the arm portion. In addition, a device for changing a rotation shaft by the user is also provided. The exercise device of another embodiment according to the present invention includes two different pivot shafts on one arm.
